Apserou Shiaka & Co is an accounting, audit and tax advisory firm that provides services to both local and international clients. The owners of the firm are Chartered Certified Accountants holding the Gold certificate issued by the ACCA as Approved Training Employers.

Our firm is seeking to recruit an Auditor for our offices in Nicosia for full time employment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements and ensure they comply with laws and regulations and IAS and IFRSs
• Compute taxes, prepare tax returns and ensure that the returns are submitted on time and taxes due are paid properly and on time
• Ensure accuracy with tax and government guidelines policies and procedures
• Examine, analyse and reconcile accounting and financial records as well as documents such as bank statements, dividends, budgets, loans and others
• Ensuring work is prepared in accordance with the firm’s policy and standards

Qualifications required

• University of Cyprus graduates with at least 7.50 GPA or other University graduates with at least 3.33 GPA or UK University graduates with at least 2:1 or
• ACCA Completed or in progress

Skills and experience

• Case ware knowledge
• Computer literate
• Excellent analytical and written communication skills in both Greek and English language
• Dynamic with high levels of commitment and ability to take initiative
• Professional conduct

Other requirements

Ability to meet tight deadlines
Achieve the budget and performance objectives
Keep updated with IFRS and ISA
